The 2024 Annual Suicide Prevention Convening presented by the Urban Indian Coalition of Arizona and the Phoenix Indian Center is a safe space for local organizers to help establish suicide-safer communities for Urban American Indian families. SPC hopes to incorporate traditional and contemporary Indigenous knowledge to bring together behavioral health staff, service providers, school support staff, youth service organizations, and community members to discuss and strategize how to reduce deaths by suicide among urban American Indian youth and adults. Please join us as we plan to have a community discussion about suicide prevention through an American Indian culturally respective lens to benefit our communities as well as highlight the prevention efforts taking place throughout Maricopa County and Arizona. This year’s theme is Journey to Community Healing. *Parent permission is required if under the age of 18 to attend.
