The winter season is traditionally a time for Indigenous communities to embrace their cultural stories and traditions. To celebrate this, the Phoenix Indian Center and the Urban Indian Coalition of Arizona are hosting “Season of Stories: Winter Traditions for Youth – O’odham Storytelling on Friday, Jan. 10 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Join us for FREE, in-person cultural workshop covering O’odham Storytelling. Our guest facilitator, Gabriel Martinez, will be providing knowledge on Haicu A’ga, The Story of Eagleman and Gins (Traditional Stick Game).
