Journaling has the power to improve mental and emotional health; such as decreasing stress and anxiety, increasing self-awareness, improves mood, regulates emotions, and helps us cope with trauma. Join this interactive session with Afro-Indigenous artist & educator Deon Mitchell (Diné).
- Learn the basics of how to begin and maintain the journaling process.
- Use writing prompts to guide expressive thinking and writing.
- Apply cultural knowledge to express emotions through visual arts.
- Reflect and record ideas through creative and intentional writing strategies
