Kinaaldá dóó Zhízhch’į́į́d – Navajo Coming of Age Series

The Phoenix Indian Center is once again, offering a Kinaaldá dóó Zhízhch’į́į́d (Navajo Coming of Age) series aimed at preparing youth transitioning mentally, physically, and spiritually into adulthood. This series offered, over the summer, will include extensive in-person workshops, activities, and traditional teachings on various dates from May 2025 through August 2025. We are seeking a small cohort of 12 boys and 12 girls and their families to handcraft items needed for their future ceremonies. Join us for our virtual information session on Wednesday, May 07th, where we will go over the application process, schedule, requirements, and expectations for the series.
