We will help assess your specific skills, experience, knowledge and abilities to help strengthen your resume.  Our workforce specialists will work with you on your interview skills so that you feel comfortable going into any job interview.

Training Opportunities

We work closely with many schools, training institutions, and employers to assist job seekers looking for a career change or who need a certification to obtain employment in their career field. Below are some training opportunities available but if the below opportunities do not reflect your area of interest, contact our office to learn how we may be able to assist you in obtaining alternate training and certifications.

Insurance Certification Training Information Session

Are you interested in obtaining a Life Insurance Producer License, a Securities Industry Essentials License and a Series 6 License? Join us for our Insurance Certification Training Information Sessions happening in January! The Phoenix Indian Center has partnered with the Primerica Life Insurance Company to offer training to individuals who are interested in becoming certified. Please join us at one of our sessions to learn more about each license and how you can receive FREE training. Classes begin February 2025. Codefy Software Development Training Program For Young Adults

Young Adults: Are you interested in learning about software development? Check out our upcoming training program with Codefy and CPLC Workforce Solutions! Our popular, no-cost program is back again with a 12-week class starting Feb. 18, 2025. Applications are now open with a Jan. 12, 2025 deadline. Eligible participants must be 18-24 years old and meet program requirements. American Indian and Alaska Native Trainees will learn skills in: Java, Responsive Web Design, Agile & Scrum, Databases & SQL and Introduction to Cloud Computing! There is a focus on individual attention through small class sizes with industry recognized credentials upon completion. Start your career in software programming and application support today. Are you an employer interested in hiring an intern through our Youth to Work program?

We are offering virtual and in-person internships at no cost to interested businesses! Interns are high school juniors and seniors, with their time being paid by the Phoenix Indian Center.
