CompTIA IT Training

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian.
  • Reside in Maricopa or Coconino County (off reservation).
  • Be unemployed or underemployed and not in school.
  • Have a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma

Honoring Our Youth: Gourd Dance & Social Powwow

“Honoring Our Youth: Phoenix Indian Center 2nd Annual Gourd Dance & Social Powwow”

We are pleased to announce the return of  the 2nd Annual Phoenix Indian Center Gourd Dance & Social Powwow! We will host the free, one-day event at Steele Indian School Park in mid-town Phoenix. We welcome all dancers and drum groups to come and celebrate with us at this community event.  For questions, call 602-264-6768. No drugs, alcohol or weapons allowed at the event.

  • 11 AM | Indigenous Vendor Market Opens
  • 11 AM | Gourd Dance 
  • 1 PM | Grand Entry 
  • 5 PM | Evening Gourd Dance
  • 7 PM | Evening Grand Entry

Location: Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix AZ, 85012

Admission: Free 

Parking: Free but limited, we encourage carpooling, ride shares or using the Valley Metro Light Rail and Bus routes

 

Youth Council Flag Design Contest

Our Future Inspired Native American Leaders Youth Council is in need of a council flag that they can take to all public engagements. Indigenous High School students are encouraged to submit flag designs and participate in this great opportunity to have your design featured on the flag. All submissions must be made by Friday, March 10, 2023.
