Teen & Young Adult 2SLGBTQIA+ Talking Circle

The 2SLGBTQIA+ Talking Circle Series is a culturally grounded space designed to support Indigenous Two Spirit & LGBTQIA+ relatives (ages 15-24) in the Phoenix metro area, through community connection, healing & empowerment.
Rooted in traditional values of respect, storytelling & collective care, the series provides a safe & affirming environment where participants can share experiences, strengthen identity & build supportive relationships. Our facilitator is Lenny Hayes (Sisseton Wahpeton) a member of the LGBTQIA+ community & licensed counselor who invites relatives to join in the talking circles.

The Phoenix Indian Center is proud to present our 5th Annual Indigenous Community Fashion Showcase on Saturday, March 7, 2026 — now at our new location in Downtown Phoenix at Creighton University’s Doris S. Norton Ballroom!

 

Held during the iconic Heard Indian Market weekend, this powerful evening celebrates, honors, and uplifts Indigenous creativity. From emerging Native designers to talented youth and community models, this showcase is a vibrant expression of culture, identity, and intergenerational connection.

 

As the oldest urban Indian center in the country, the Phoenix Indian Center remains committed to empowering our community and creating spaces where Indigenous artistry and representation shine. This year’s new downtown location makes it even easier to gather in the heart of the city and celebrate Native fashion and design.
