Last Chance: IT Certification Training

We have reached our final information session! Join us to learn about this exciting opportunity! This certification is one of the first in a pathway of careers within the IT industry. If you or someone you know is interested in a career in the IT industry, join us at the final information session for this training opportunity on Tuesday, March 17th at 9 am.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old,
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent,
  • Be American Indian, Native Hawaiian or Alaskan Native, and
  • Attend an information/orientation session

Késhjéé’

The Phoenix Indian Center presents Késhjéé’

Celebrate this winter season by joining us for Késhjéé’ (Navajo Shoegame), a winter game that has been a favorite of the Diné people for centuries! This fun game is designed to teach the importance of virtues such as honor, honesty, loyalty and trust. Don’t miss this cultural family experience!

Dates: January 13th & 14th, 2023

Exploring Career Pathways for Youth

We invite youth to this roundtable discussion where they can meet business professionals and learn about the career pathways and life plans that created some of our leaders here in the Valley of the Sun. Learn about the work industry, unravel educational journeys and learn about the human spirit from key people in these areas:

  • Tribal Lawyer
  • Bureau of Land Management
  • Cox Communications – VP
  • Cox Communications – Director of Field Operations
  • Director of Marketing
  • Research Analyst
  • Public Relations
  • Small Business owners

Participants will be immersed in the personal educational stories of people out in the industry today and be able to ask questions of their own. Open to the community and educational for the whole family. Snacks/lunch and refreshments will be available. We will see you there!
