Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Symposium of Arizona

 

Join us for this free, one-day symposium to celebrate the recent Supreme Court decision to uphold ICWA. This event will bring together parents, tribal leaders and professionals to share the impacts of ICWA on our Native children who have experienced foster care. Sessions will include speakers and presentations covering the foster care process, understanding Haaland V. Brackeen, keeping culture and connection, and the state DCS ICWA process. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to registered participants. Child care is also available to children ages 5 to 16 (must be pre-registered). To register, click here. Do you know an American Indian Middle School youth in need of something fun to do this summer? They are invited to our FREE Living in 2 Worlds Summer Camp! Join us at Montecito Community School! The youth will learn prevention skills, cultural activities & spend time with other youth.
