Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

On March 10-11 The UICAZ is partnering with AISWA to provide ASIST training to the Social Work Students at ASU. This training is open to the public. ASIST suicide is an intervention training where the student will learn to identify the need for intervention, have a discussion about suicide, and walk a person experiencing thoughts of suicide to a point of safety and forward thinking. This is an evidenced based curriculum and recognized by the governor’s office as an effective means of suicide intervention. It is important to be prepared when suicide effects your life, or those around you. Learn to ASIST someone with thoughts of suicide in this two day training.
