Drug Take Back Day!

Did you know that more than half of the drug overdose deaths in the US each year are caused by prescription drug misuse? Help us to safely dispose of expired, unwanted prescription drugs at our Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 22, 2023 locatedat the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) building at 4212 N. 16th St., Phoenix, AZ 85016 from 10:00AM to 2:00 PM.

Join us for the final session of the Southwest American Indian 2SLGBTQ+ Rainbow Gathering! Participants will hear from Dr. Chulani, Section Chief of Adolescent Medicine at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Medical Director of Phoenix Children’s Gender Support Services, and learn about resources that support the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

The Phoenix Indian Center is proud to partner with South Mountain Community College for Summer Academy 2021! All American Indian high school students can EARN a credit (pass/fail) this summer by registering for a Digital Storytelling class that will be taught by different tribal teachers. Students will learn new skills for oral storytelling –they will learn how to effectively use digital media to bring their words to life! This experience will strengthen cultural awareness and it will build community among the youth. Let’s make this your goal today and register!
